Palermo improve bid for Joel Campbell

La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Palermo have raised their offer for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

The Rosanero are eager to bring the talented footballer to Stadio Renzo Barbera having stayed without key attacker Paulo Dybala this summer.

And after their initial €5 million bid was swiftly rejected by the Gunners, they have now returned with an improved proposal.

Arsenal are believed to be holding out for €9 million, but it is expected that the two clubs will eventually agree on a transfer fee.

After impressing during his previous loan spells, Joel Campbell did not exactly hit the ground running while at Villarreal, and that may be one of the reasons why his long-term suitors are hesitant about making a move this summer.

But, with the 23-year-old already showing a great deal of potential, it is hardly surprising that Palermo are desperate to win the chase for his signature.
