Palermo chairman Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that they have made an €9million bid for Internacional ace Nilmar Honorato Da Silva.
Reports have said that Palermo had made an €18million bid for the 24-year-old, something the Sicilians denies.
“18 millions? No way, that’s the asking price from the Brazilian club who turned down my €15m offer in the summer,†Maurizio Zamparini told Il Giornale di Sicilia.
“Things have changed since then. Our latest offer was of €9m, which is more in line with the current economic climate.
“The ball is now in Internacional’s court: if they are interested in selling Nilmar, they will have to step forward. We are waiting.â€Â
He added: “My instinct tells me that we only have a 30 percent chance of sealing the deal.â€Â
