Italian club Palermo have made young Polish defender Kamil Glik the latest addition to their ranks. The 22 year old has joined the Eagles on a five year contract for an undisclosed fee.
Glik is the first Pole to move from the Ekstraklasa to Palermo since Radoslaw Matusiak’s switch from GKS Bełchatów in 2007. Matusiak however made only three appearances before moving north to the Netherlands. Glik will certainly hope to do better and has said that he hopes to emulate Danish defender Simon Kjaer at Palermo.
Glik has also represented Real Madrid’s C side in the past. Before joining Palermo from Piast Gliwice, he also represented UD Horadada and Silesia Lubomia .
