Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that a top European club have sent a formal offer for Javier Pastore worth €45 million.
The Argentine playmaker is widely tipped to leave Renzo Barbera this summer, a claim that has been confirmed by the club president himself.
“I heard from another great club on Monday, a European one and not an Italian side,” Zamparini told Radio Radio.
“They are an important European outfit. I spoke to their sporting director and I told them to talk to the player’s agent.
“The person with whom I talked to asked me to lower Pastore’s price from €50m to €45m. I’m only accepting cash though and no player exchanges.”
Zamparini also moved to deny allegations that Roma have made an official bid for the Argentine.
“Roma need to hurry up if they want him as I think the situation will be resolved in the next 10 days.
“I’ve not heard from anyone at Roma though, even if it would be nice if Pastore did continue to play his football in Italy.”
