The Orlando Sentinel has claimed that Andre Pirlo has been the subject of an official proposal from Palmeiras.

The veteran midfielder only arrived at New York City FC this summer, joining the MLS side on a free transfer from Juventus.

Pirlo did experience some problems at the beginning of his career in the United States, and it appears that Palmeiras will attempt to take advantage of the situation.

The Brazilian giants want the experienced footballer to help during their Copa Libertadores campaign and have already submitted an official bid.

Nevertheless, it is highly unlikely that New York City FC will be prepared to let their star player leave, having worked really hard to bring him to the MLS.

Despite his advanced age, Andrea Pirlo continues to play an important role in the Italy national team and he is in the squad for final Euro 2016 qualifiers vs Azerbaijan and Norway.
