Panathinaikos reconquered their lead in the Greek Super League thanks to a 0-1 victory at local rivals AEK Athens on Sunday.
The first half at Spyros Louis Olympic Stadium went by without goals, but Dimitris Salpingidis put Panathinaikos in the lead after just two minutes in the second.
The visiting side held on to their advantage to jump back to the top at the expense of Olympiakos. The Piraeus outfit drop to second place at two points from the leaders.
PAOK Saloniki dropped another two points with a disappointing goalless draw at Atromitos. PAOK are currently in ninth place of 16 teams.
