Panathinaikos are through to the fourth preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League following a 3-0 win over Sparta Prague. The Czechs had won the first leg 3-1.
Sparta thought to be in a comfortable position after earning a 3-1 win last week, but it soon turned out that their Greek opponents saved the best for their home leg.
Jose Sarriegi put Panathinaikos in the lead after 45 minutes, heading in from a Kostas Katsouranis free kick.
Katsouranis himself made it 2-0 nine minutes after the break and Dimitris Salpingidis ended all doubts, rounding the keeper near the end of regular time.
