Greek giants Panathinaikos are showing interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder Fabian Rinaudo, according to A Bola.

The Argentine footballer has lost his place in the starting line-up at Estadio Jose Alvalade following the emergence of William Carvalho and has made just three substitute appearances in the league this season.

Rinaudo is obviously unhappy with his status at the club, even if he continues to behave like a model professional.

According to A Bola, Panathinaikos are ready to offer the 26-year-old an escape route from Lisbon, although the Lions are not too keen on selling the player they still hold in high regard.

Fabian Rinaudo’s experience is considered a huge asset in what is a squad that almost entirely consist of young and talented footballers.

Sporting will have an opportunity to return to the Primeira Liga summit when they host Nacional later today, with the Lions priced at 7/2 for the league title.
