(GSM) – Panathinaikos did what most people expected, beating Aris Saloniki 1-0 to win this season’s Greek Cup.

Athens’ Spyros Louis Olympic stadium was the setting for Saturday’s Cup final between favorites Panathinaikos and underdogs Aris, who knew that they faced a difficult task in the Greek capital.

And this proved to be true as Sebastian Leto scored the opening goal three minutes after the hour and Panathinaikos held on to their lead to take the victory and the trophy.

The Athens side won the Cup 16 times before, most recently in 2004.
