(GSM) – Ajax striker Marko Pantelic looks set for a return to the Bundesliga, only one year after he left Hertha BSC. Schalke 04 are reportedly looking to sign the Serbian striker to replace Kevin Kuranyi who will leave the club as a free agent this summer.
Pantelic’ deal at Ajax expires after this season en he wants to sign a new, long-year contract but the Amsterdam side only wants to offer him a one-year deal. The 31-year-old look set for a return to Germany where Schalke wants him to replace Kuranyi.
VfB Stuttgart, Hoffenheim and VfL Wolfsburg are also in the chase for Pantelic, while his agent Karel van Burik claims there’s also interest from English and Italian clubs.
The Serbia international has scored 16 goals in 25 league appearances for Ajax this season.
