(GSM) – Former Italy international Cristian Panucci has cancelled his contract with Parma for personal reasons.
The 36-year-old defender who played for Milan, Real Madrid, Roma among other clubs, only joined the Gialloblu in the summer, but ‘family problems’ mean he can’t be away from Rome at all.
“Parma, after having taken consideration of the personal motivations communicated by the player, note the mutual termination today of Christian Panucci’s contract, which was due to expire on June 30.
“Panucci notes today that the issue of his contract has been resolved consensually for motives that are strictly personal.
“Christian would like to once again thank Parma, the President, the Coach, his teammates and the fans. He wishes them all the best.
“As for some reports that have recently appeared in the Press, Panucci categorically denies that any disagreement with the Coach is the basis for his decision.”
