(GSM) – PAOK have started their 2010-11 Greek league campaign with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Panserraikos.
Things did not start well for PAOK, as Nikola Beljic scored the opening goal in Panserraikos’ favour after 19 minutes.
The home side turned things around just before and after the break. Vieirinha levelled in the 45th minute and Bruno Cirillo made it 2-1 two minutes into the second half.
The visitors did not give up without a fight however and Beljic found the target for 2-2 in the 56th minute.
But PAOK had the final say at their own Toumbas stadium, as Athhasanios Papazoglou, one of the three Greeks to feature for the hosts, netted the winner in the 70th minute.
PAOK are in first place after the opening round, as no team managed to win their first match of the season by two or more goals.
