PAOK Saloniki have practically qualified for the Champions League preliminary round with a 0-1 win at Olympiakos on Wednesday.

The game began with PAOK in first place and Olympiakos followed in second, three points behind.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 33rd minute and came from Vladimir Ivic. Late aggression led to red cards for both Olympiakos’ Olof Mellberg and PAOK’s Pablo Contreras.

As such, PAOK are now six points ahead of Olympiakos with just two more games to play.

In the other play-off game on Wednesday, ARIS and AEK drew 1-1. Both are out of contention for a Champions League spot.
