Crystal Palace have been linked with a shock move to sign Paris Saint Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye, according to the Mail Online.
The 29 year old, who work under Eagles boss Alan Pardew for two-and-a-half seasons at Newcastle United, has failed to make a real impression on PSG’s first team since signing for them last January and is considering his options ahead of next season.
Since returning to his home country, Cabaye has started just twenty-two league games, with his only Ligue One goal coming in a 3-1 win at Lens back in October.
The France international’s value of £10m would be a stretch for Palace, though they may be able to negotiate a loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
The London outfit could also raise funds by offloading the likes of Dwight Gayle, Mile Jedinak and James McArthur, who are all being eyed by some of Palace’s Premier League rivals.
