Manager Alan Pardew attributes a ‘feel good’ factor to Newcastle United’s stunning start to the English Premier League season.
Sitting in fourth on the league table, the Magpies occupy the final Champions League spot and remain one of only two unbeaten sides – along with leaders Manchester City – after nine matches.
And Pardew believes it is the feeling and belief among both the players and fans that is the cause of the club’s bright run.
“It’s very important for a football club that you have a good feeling running through the terraces right down to the pitch side,” Pardew said.
“We have that and I think there is a trust from the terraces in what we are doing, especially in the players that we have.”
“That trust has come out in a number or areas this year that have seen us get victories and we can’t do it without the tremendous support that we have here.”
“So I think they see that they are trying to do it the right way and style. Hopefully we are producing football that people want to come back and watch every week. And it will bode well to keep that feeling.”
Newcastle have won five and drawn four ahead of a tough trip to Stoke on Monday.
