Pardew keen on Remy reunion

Crystal Palace are lining up a summer move for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, according to the Daily Star.

The France international only moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but he is very much played second fiddle to Diego Costa having started just three league games while he has scored just five goals for the club in all competitions.

Palace manager Alan Pardew signed him on loan from Queens Park Rangers during his time at Newcastle, where the former Marseille man proved to be far more prolific with fourteen goals in just twenty-six appearances.

His form that season almost saw him secure a move to Liverpool, but a failed medical saw him eventually link up with Jose Mourinho’s side who were on the lookout for replacements for Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.

The Eagles would most likely have to break their transfer record in order to secure Remy’s services, with a figure of £10m being mooted.
