Alan Pardew is keen to secure a permanent deal for Loic Remy once his loan spell with Newcastle United comes to an end, according to the Independent.
The France international has impressed during his brief time on Tyneside so far, scoring five goals in five league appearances including a brace in Saturday afternoon’s 2-1 victory over Cardiff City.
Pardew tried to sign the 26 year old back in January, only for the striker to opt for a move to Queens Park Rangers where his six goals in fourteen appearances couldn’t save them from relegation to the Championship.
The Magpies manager is keen not to lose out on his services again, though his current form is sure to alert a number of other potential suitors.
Only Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge has more Premier League goals than Remy since the start of the season, and the former Marsielle man is priced at 25/1 to finish the season as top scorer.
