According to ESPN journalist Leo Paradizo, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Barcelona forward Lionel Messi. The French giants have been in touch with the Argentina international’s father and want to secure his services in the January transfer window. Messi is out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the season, and no new deal is in place. The 33-year-old would be able to sign a pre-contract with any club outside Spain in January.
Messi is one of the best players of all time and has been on the books of Barcelona his entire professional club football career so far. The 33-year-old has won the La Liga title 10 titles and the Champions League on four occasions among other major honours.
PSG reached the Champions League final last season and have established themselves as regular winners of Ligue 1 and are the biggest club in France at the moment. With Neymar already playing for the Parisian club, Messi would be reunited with a former Barcelona teammate at the Ligue 1 powerhouse.
