Paris Saint-Germain have found a replacement for holding midfielder Claude Makelele, according to French radio RMC.
The Saints are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal for Saint Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
RMC reports that talks between the two clubs are progressing well and that the deal is close to fruition.
The France international, who was also a target for Chelsea and Arsenal, is excited by the prospect of joining Paris Saint-Germain and is set to sign a long-term deal at Parc des Princes.
Matuidi has spent last four years at Saint Etienne and is currently regarding one of the best holding midfielders in France.
Therefore, it is little wonder that PSG coach Antoine Combouare sees him as a perfect replacement for Claude Makelele.
