Paris Saint Germain are considering a £100m move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to the Guardian.
The Ligue 1 giants are keen on securing a deal for Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic though they have installed Eriksen as an alternate option should they fail to secure the services of the World Cup finalist.
Eriksen has just began his sixth season with Spurs, having signed from Ajax in the summer of 2013.
Since then, he has racked up two hundred and twenty-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring fifty-six goals while he was named the club’s Player of the Year in both 2014 and 2017.
Internationally, the twenty-six-year old has been capped eighty-two times, scoring twenty-three goals – the last of which came at this summer’s World Cup finals in a 1-1 group stage draw with Australia.
Tottenham face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday evening with Eriksen priced at 10/1 to open the scoring.
