French giants Paris Saint-Germain are heading towards a disappointing closure to the 2016/17 season.
The frustrating Champions League elimination at the hands of Barcelona, despite a 4-0 win in the first leg, has been a huge blow to Unai Emery’s team.
In addition, Les Parisiens are on road to lose the Ligue 1 title race to Monaco. PSG are three points behind the Principality club, who have a game in hand over Emery’s men, whereas Paris Saint-Germain’s loss to Nice last time out has seemingly ended the race with four rounds to go.
French media are now reporting that club owners are preparing for a busy summer that will bring a major overhaul to Parc des Princes. Attack and goalkeeping position are the two main areas of interest for the Parisians, who are thought to be looking at the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to solve their problems at the back.
Le 10 Sport has learned that Lloris has made the top priority for PSG, but acknowledges that it will be extremely hard to land the 30-year-old who is enjoying a successful relationship with Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.
Lloris has signed a three-year extension to his deal with Tottenham which is to keep him in London until 2022.
