Paris Saint-Germain sack Antoine Kombouare

Paris Saint-Germain have sacked coach Antoine Kombouare, adding fuel to speculations that Carlo Ancelotti will take over the reigns at Parc des Princes.

Kombouare’s position at Parc des Princes has been in danger ever since the Saints opened talks with Carlo Ancelotti and the former Valenciennes tactician has now been official relieved from his post.

“After two years in which he served with passion as PSG coach, Antoine Kombouare leaves Paris St Germain from this date,” read a statement on club’s official website.

“PSG would like to thank Antoine Kombouare for the professionalism he has shown throughout his work and expresses its best wishes for success in his new endeavours.

“For his part, Antoine Kombouare expressed his gratitude to PSG for the confidence shown in him over the years. He remains the biggest supporter of the club and is confident that success will continue in the coming years.”
