Paris Saint-Germain are trying to convince Achraf Hakimi to sign a new contract amid interest from Real Madrid, according to Mundo Deportivo. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Madrid’s long-term interest in Hakimi has compelled PSG to tie him down to a new deal.
Hakimi is under contract at PSG until the summer of 2026. Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Madrid could try to sign the Morocco international right-back on a free transfer then or even make a move for him in the summer of 2025. So, PSG, who won the Ligue 1 title last season, are now trying to make sure that the right-back signs a new long-term contract.
Mundo Deportivo has added that Hakimi has always wanted to succeed at Madrid. The 25-year-old was on the books of Los Blancos from 2006 until 2020. He came through Madrid’s youth system but failed to make a massive impact in the first team.
