Park Ji-Sung is to return to PSV Eindhoven after the Dutch club agreed a season-long loan move for the QPR midfielder.

Park, 32, had previously played for PSV between 2003 and 2005, helping them to two Eredivisie titles and victory in the KNVB Beker.

The former South Korea international moved to Manchester United in 2005, winning the Premier League on four occasions, and tasting success in the UEFA Champions League in 2008.

He made the switch to Loftus Road a year ago, and was initially made QPR captain, but could not prevent them from succumbing to relegation from the Premier League last season.

Park’s move away from QPR is subject to him obtaining a Dutch work permit, and he will continue to train with Harry Redknapp’s side until the deal is completed.

PSV have undergone a significant rebuild, with Park becoming their seventh signing of the transfer window after Kevin Strootman, Dries Mertens, Jeremain Lens and Erik Pieters all opted to move to pastures new.

Park made 25 appearances for QPR last term.
