Italian international Sebastian Giovinco could return to Juventus at the end of the season, Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi has revealed.
Parma first signed Giovinco on loan from the Bianconeri in August 2010, before buying 50% of the player’s rights at the end of the season.
The Atomic Ant has since impressed for both il Ducali and Italy, and has been heavily linked with a return to Turin.
Juventus chiefs are desperate to bring the forward back to the side, and now Parma president has revealed that such a scenario is more than possible.
“Every time we meet, and that is often since we are both part of the Serie A board, Agnelli asks me about Giovinco,” Tommasso Ghirardi told Tuttosport.
“There is an open co-ownership deal, at the end of the season we will evaluate the desires of the clubs and the player.”
If the two clubs fail to agree on a transfer fee before the set date, they will enter a blind auction for the player.
“In the case of the acquisition of ownership in the player, Agnelli and I agreed in one minute, shaking hands.
”I don’t see why it shouldn’t happen again.”
The 25-year-old forward has been in scintillating form this season, having scored 9 goals and created 5 assists for his teammates in 19 Serie A games.
