Parma are set to complete the signing of McDonald Mariga from Inter, according to the player’s representative.
The Kenyan international is currently on loan from Inter at Real Zaragoza, but he is expected to return to Italy before the January transfer window is over.
Serie A strugglers Parma are doing their best to get the player back to Ennio Tardini and it appears they have done enough to persuade the 24-year-old as well as his parent club Inter.
“All the Parma fans can relax, as the announcement of Mariga’s move to Parma is imminent!” Mariga’s agent Federico Pastorello wrote on his Twitter profile.
“You can thank Aurora Russi and Paola Notturno of the Italian Embassy in Madrid, as they got the paperwork pushed through in record time!”
This looks like it could be another deadline day move for Mariga, seeing that he joined Inter from Parma on the final day of the January 2010 transfer window after his move to Manchester City fell through.
The Kenyan never quite managed to prove his potential at Giuseppe Meazza and will now have a chance to kick-start his career during the loan spell at Parma.
