Parma sign Paloschi from Milan

Parma have signed AC Milan teenager Alberto Paloschi in a co-ownership deal, the Serie B club said on its website on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old made a sensational debut for Milan in February, scoring against Siena with his first touch after coming on as a substitute.

He scored twice in seven appearances last season but would have found first team football hard to come by in this campaign following the acquisitions of Andrei Shevchenko and Ronaldinho.

With Marco Borriello also added to the Milan squad, and with veteran Filippo Inzaghi and Brazilian teenage wonder Pato on the books, Paloschi has been allowed to leave.

Parma were relegated from Serie A last season and are hoping for an immediate return to the top flight.

Co-ownership deals are common in Italy and Paloschi is likely to return to Milan at some point in the future.

Borriello joined Genoa on a similar deal that saw him half owned by Milan, with the Italian giants exercising their right to bring him back.

He first joined Milan in 2002 but has since had spells at Empoli, Reggina, Sampdoria and Treviso before his 19 goals in 35 matches for Genoa last year convinced Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti that he was ready for a return.
