(GSM) – Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has made a surprising revelation that club star Javier Pastore is being wanted by a Spanish club.
The Argentine starlet, who is highly regarded with a bright future, is reportedly attracting widespread attention after a promising start to the season.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City have all been linked with the 21-year-old, who has scored four goals in eight games for Palermo this term.
Palermo have previously made it clear that they do not want to sell Pastore, and Zamparini insists there have been no formal bids as yet.
However, the official admits there has been one enquiry from an unnamed Primera Liga club.
Zamparini told Italian radio station GR Parlamento: “There has been no official offer from anyone – just an approach from a Spanish club for about 25million euros.
“There has been nothing from Italy. As I have said before, Pastore is priceless because he is not for sale.
“However, I do realise that it will not be easy to keep him here as I believe he is valued at around 60million euros.
“He is a player that one day will win the Golden Ball. He is one of the strongest players in the world.”
