Palermo playmaker Javier Pastore has revealed Juan Roman Riquelme is his sporting idol.
The Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini recently compared Pastore to Zidan, but the player himself says he would like to play like Riquelme.
“I aspire to be like Riquelme. It would be a dream for me to start a game alongside Lionel Messi and Riquelme. The first is the best player in the whole world, while the second is the best there is in his position.”
The 21-year-old is currently one of the most sought after players in Europe, with Palermo asking €50 million in order to part ways from their star player.
“I don’t know if I am worth €50m, anyhow I haven’t received any offers from other clubs,” said Pastore.
“I am happy at Palermo and the President has always shown his affection for me. I must keep my feet on the ground and continue to just be myself.”
