Paris Saint-Germain star Javier Pastore has caused a great deal of controversy by saying the he would still like to be playing in Serie A.
The Argentine playmaker made a €42 million switch to PSG from Palermo last summer, but it looks as though he is having regrets about leaving Italy.
“I would have wanted to stay in Italy because it is a country that I love a lot, it’s a place where I spent two magnificent years,” Pastore told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Your football is the most beautiful and it would be even more so if you turned more to younger players.
“In Italy a 24-year-old is considered as a youngster when, in fact, he is already a mature footballer.”
Pastore then tried to compare the two competitions.
“There is less tactical discipline here. It’s not as organised, but football is more physical and open here. It’s easier to score goals.”
