Serie A leaders Roma are planning an ambitious swoop for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
It was the now Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini who lured the Argentine to Europe as a Palermo official and he is now hoping to bring one of his favourite players to Stadio Olimpico.
With the 24-year-old struggling for both form and playing time at Parc des Princes, Roma aim to try and sign him in the January window.
The Giallorossi would propose a six-month loan as they want to evaluate the player’s condition before splashing the cash on his services.
And there is a good chance that PSG would be interested in such an arrangement, seeing that the player’s value will further decrease if he remains on the fringes at Parc des Princes.
Despite sitting at the top of the league standings at the moment, the Giallorossi can be backed at 3/1 for the Serie A title.
