West Ham United are interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore and they have already begun talks for a potential move, according to sources reporting to Sky Sports. The report claims the deal that is being discussed would be worth up to £17.5million.
The occasional Argentina international hasn’t made the 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia, and since PSG started their quest to build a star-studded team, he hasn’t been getting the game-time he expects for himself. He has made 34 appearances this season in all competitions, but most of those came off the bench. A move away from Paris is the logical solution for the 28-year-old who has no time for patience in such a plight.
West Ham have recently appointed Manuel Pellegrini, and the former Manchester City manager is keen to add some quality to the team. There can’t be any doubt that Pastore, given his talent and experience, would vastly improve the Hammers.
