French defender Patrice Evra has emerged as a short-term solution for injury-stricken Juventus with latest reports claiming that former Bianconeri star has offered his services to Turin-based club.
Patrice Evra spent three years at Juventus, from 2014 to 2017, playing well over 50 Serie A matches during that time.
Currently a free agent, the experienced 37-year-old left-back was said to have offered himself to Juventus through agent Federico Pastorello according to the Italian media. In his interview with Rai Sports, however, Pastorello played down such rumours. He claims Evra did not have any contact with Juventus.
Bianconeri are currently struggling with injuries to their first-team defenders with Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgiao Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli all injured.
Juventus have made a move during January to bring back Martin Caceres as a backup solution but as things stand they are not expected to do the same with Patrice Evra.
