Paul Merson said on Sky Sports News (1:51pm, October 17, 2020) that Said Benrahma is a good signing for West Ham United.
The former Arsenal star believes that the Algeria international winger will make West Ham a better team in attack.
Merson also praised the 25-year-old, who can operate as a forward, for arranging over 100 Brentford staff to get bonus. as reported by Sky Sports.
According to BBC Sport, West Ham – who are rated at 9/2 by Betfair to win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday – have paid Championship club £5 million as loan fee to sign Benrahma on a temporary deal and are obliged to make £20 million next summer to make the move permanent.
Merson said on Sky Sports News (1:51pm, October 17, 2020): “I do like him. He has done an unbelievable gesture at Brentford. And he is a good player.
“At West Ham, that’s what they need. You have him on one side, Bowen on the other and Antonio up top, that’s a real threat.”

According to WhoScored, Benrahma made 42 starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Brentford last season, scoring 17 goals and providing nine assists in the process.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the Algeria International made 29 starts and nine substitute appearances in the league for the Bees, scoring 10 goals and providing 14 assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
West Ham are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with seven points from five matches and will hope to push for the top 10 this season.
