Paul Robinson has said that Inter Milan central defender Milan Skriniar would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Tottenham goalkeeper rates the Slovakia international central defender highly, and believes that he would make Spurs stronger at the back.
Robinson believes that the 25-year-old would make a strong partnership with Toby Alderweireld in the heart of the Tottenham defence.
According to Football Insider, Spurs are interested in signing Skriniar from Italian giants Inter in the summer transfer window.
It has been claimed that the Premier League club are planing to make a bid of £30 million for the former Sampdoria star.
Robinson told Football Insider: “They have needed a centre-half for a long time. Skriniar would be an excellent signing.
“He is a top class centre-half who has a lot of experience. He is not just a very, very strong defender – he can play as well. A partnership between him and Alderweireld would be seriously formidable.”
Would Milan Skriniar be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Skriniar is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world in Inter and was a key figure in Antonio Conte’s side finishing second in Serie A last season.
The defender will get better as he is still only 25 years of age, and he would make Tottenham better and more solid defensively.
Spurs are rated at 16/5 by Betfair to finish in the top four of the Premier League table at the moment.
