Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko says that Russia is likely to be his next destination.
The towering striker has already decided to leave Tottenham in January in search for first team football.
Even though a number of Premiership sides are interested in his signature, Pavlyuchenko admits he will probably return to Russia.
“I’d rather go back to Russia,” Pavlyuchenko was quoted as saying in Football Express.
“If I sign to Anzhi or not – we shouldn’t go too far. Maybe I’ll have only one possibility and that will be Anzhi and nothing else.”
The player says that his former club Spartak Moscow is also keen.
“Karpin contacts me before each transfer period. He says he wants to take me but when the transfer window closes our connection ends.
“They keep saying they want me and my answer is – if they want me then negotiate with my club about the details.”
