According to The Daily Mail, Roman Pavlyuchenko has admitted his first season at Tottenham has sometimes left him feeling lost as he struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League. ‘The speed and power of the English game can be very difficult to get used to, even having come from playing in what was quite a physical league”, he said.

‘It took me a while to adapt my game from the Russian style; I could feel myself getting lost because everyone was moving fast. It was and still is impossible to relax for a second – you have to invest 100 per cent concentration all of the time”.

‘But I am glad the Tottenham supporters have shown patience, because I think I have shown what I am capable of since.’
