Payet pens new West Ham deal

Dimitri Payet has committed his future to West Ham United by penning a new five-year contract, according to the Mail Online.

The France international’s new terms, which is set to see him earn £125,000 per week, is the biggest deal in the club’s history and quashes speculation that he was set to make a money-spinning move to China.

Payet moved to Upton Park from Marseille in the summer and has so far racked up twenty-three appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.

The twenty-eight year old has been capped fifteen times for his country, and is likely to be involved in their squad for this summers European Championships.

Slaven Bilic’s side currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League, two points behind Manchester United.

They travel to struggling Norwich City on Saturday afternoon and can be backed at a price of 2/1 to take all three points.
