Payet to China?

According to a report from France Football, Chinese club Dalian Yifang are believed to be interested in signing Marseille star Dimitri Payet. The former West Ham United star is the latest European sensation to be linked with a move overseas to China, where the money, as we all know, is one of the biggest factors.

His salary could even be tripled but in order to land his signature, the Chinese side will need to pay between €25 million and €30 million. It doesn’t seem as if they’re going to have any major issues with stumping up that kind of cash, but you just never know.

Payet was considered to be one of the best players in world football not so long ago, but it seems as if many have cooled off on that idea. Even so he’s exceptionally talented, and many fans will see it as a waste for him to go to the Chinese Super League.
