Pearce ready to look for loan additions

Sky Sports understands that Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce has admitted that he may be forced to dip into the loan market after club captain Chris Cohen sustained an injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with rivals Derby County.

The 27 year old looked to have suffered what would be a third serious knee problem in as many years during the match at the City Ground at the weekend.

Pearce is hopeful that the injury will not rule the former Yeovil Town man out for too long, but is ready to look at bringing players in on a temporary basis if need be.

As well as the injury to Cohen, midfielder Andy Reid also came off against Derby, while Matty Fryatt missed the match completely with a pelvic problem.

The point at the weekend kept Forest on top of the Championship, and they will be looking to consolidate their position when they host bottom-of-the-table Fulham tomorrow evening.
