Chelsea have been talked about quite often in transfer rumour mills. Mostly, it has been about the players they are planning to sign, especially now that CAS have overturned FIFA decision, allowing Chelsea to sign new players already in January transfer window.
But also, there are potential departures from Stamford Bridge. One of the players that was mentioned in such discussions was Marcos Alonso, but another Spaniard could be on the move – Pedro. Former Barcelona star is 32 years old and his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2020. That makes him a good candidate for a move away from the club, especially as Chelsea are always reluctant to offer new deals to players aged over 30.
Pedro is not playing much this season, either, and therefore Aston Villa could come in to sign him. The Telegraph suggest that Villa would want to sign Pedro already in January transfer window, for a cut price, and offer him playing time.
