Pedro to Roma not happening?

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, an argument between senior figures at Roma could end up seeing Pedro’s move to the club from Chelsea collapse.

It seemed as if the stars had aligned for Pedro to begin a new journey in Serie A, but for whatever reason, politics behind the scenes are starting to really get in the way of it.

Blues manager Frank Lampard quite clearly has a vision of what he wants the club to be and who he wants to be a part of it. His first team squad is already impressive, and there’s no way of getting around that, but he clearly knows what kind of structure he wants this team to have.

Pedro could still play an important role of some description, but it often feels like his best years at Stamford Bridge have been and gone.

Whether or not Lampard agrees is a different matter.
