Manuel Pellegrini has ruled out a move for former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, according to Sky Sports.
The pair worked together for three seasons at the Etihad Stadium, where together they won the Premier League title and two EFL Cups.
The former Ivory Coast international left the Premier League champions in the summer after eight years in Manchester where he racked up three hundred and sixteen appearances, scored seventy-nine goals and won a whole host of major honours.
Having already signed nine players in the summer, Pellegrini says his squad is ready and has distanced himself from making a move for the out-of-contract thirty-five-year old.
The Hammers began their Premier League campaign with a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool, a result which has left them on the bottom of the table.
They face Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon and the home win can be backed at 23/20.
