“A player who is 19 or 20 must be ready to play in the first team,”said Pellegrini. “If, for different reasons, you don’t have the space you must go to another club. Here, we have in his position a player who I am happy with. So, we will see what happens with Reece, whether he stays here, or if it is better for him to go and play for another team.”
Those are the words of Manuel Pellegrini, as it seems pretty clear that Reece Oxford’s days are numbered at West Ham United. The youngster himself seems to have indicated that he would be interested in a move away, and if the club feels the same way, then the writing could well be on the wall.
He’s still young enough that he can go abroad and make an impact, and this could prove to be a move that the Hammers end up regretting.
