Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini does not believe the club will sell Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain in the summer.
Higuain has long been linked with a move away from Real Madrid and Manchester City are one of the clubs that reportedly have shown their interest in the striker.
Pellegrini told Sport: “[Gonzalo] Higuain is a player for Real Madrid, a great player, very young and with a great future. I do not think the club has any intention of continuing without him.
“He is a young player who shows improvement every year in the game. He is very powerful, and I am glad that he is here. His improvement is not coincidental – we see him training hard every day.”
