West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that the future of Marko Arnautovic is far from settled at this point in the January transfer window.
Speaking to the press ahead of the Hammers’ FA Cup fourth round clash with AFC Wimbledon, Pellegrini said he doesn’t know what is going to happen with the Austrian, who is a subject of continued interest from China. Although they reportedly presented Arnautovic with a lucrative offer of personal terms, it seems they have so far failed to meet West Ham’s valuation of the striker.
Arnautovic appeared to be saying goodbye to the fans in the London Stadium after he was substituted in West Ham’s win over Arsenal last week and was subsequently left out of the squad for the Bournemouth trip, but he could return for the upcoming cup fixture, according to Sky Sports.
Pellegrini also says that there have been no problems in terms of working with Arnautovic.
