A post by Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva on Twitter involving left-back Benjamin Mendy has widely been labelled as racist and caused a considerable outburst of public condemnation. Manager Pep Guardiola has responded by defending the Portuguese, saying that Silva is an open-minded person.
The English FA have contacted the Premier League champions in regards to the tweet, seeking explanation.
