Pep Guardiola ready to offload Matheus Nunes from Manchester City?

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is ready to sell Matheus Nunes in the summer transfer window, according to a report in TEAMtalk. It has been claimed that Guardiola has lost all faith in the former Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder and does not have any plans for his team.

Nunes joined City, who won the Premier League title last season, from Wolves in the summer of 2023. The 25-year-old Portugal international midfielder failed to make a huge impact at the Etihad Stadium and was a peripheral figure in the team.

The midfielder made seven starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for City last season. He gave two assists in those games. Nunes also provided one assist in five starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League, made one start and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup, and made one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup for the Citizens in 2023-24.
