Pep Guardiola wants Rocco Reitz at Manchester City

Manchester City are interested in signing Rocco Reitz from Borussia Monchengladbach in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that a number of clubs are keen on a deal for Reitz, with City manager Pep Guardiola personally looking to bring the 22-year-old defensive midfielder to the Etihad Stadium in the middle of the season.

GiveMeSport, though, has claimed that City, who are planning to bid for Castello Lukeba, will find it tough to convince Reitz to leave his boyhood club in the middle of the campaign. Monchengladbach themselves are not keen on losing the Germany Under-21 international in the January transfer window. Reitz has been on the books of Die Fohlen his entire professional club football career so far.

Reitz has made eight starts and four substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Monchengladbach so far this season. During the 2023-24 campaign, the defensive midfielder made 24 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga. Reitz scored six goals and provided three assists in those games.
