According to Marca, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed that they’re happy to let Luka Modric go, so long as a club is willing to pay the Croatian’s release clause fee – €750 million.
The main club that were said to have been interested in Modric is Inter Milan, with the Italian club supposedly being in talks with Real regarding the transfer. Modric has two years left on his current deal at the Bernabeu, and after helping to lead Croatia to the World Cup final in Russia, many top clubs around Europe are starting to stand up and take notice of him once again.
Real will be heading into this season off the back of three consecutive Champions League titles, but with Cristiano Ronaldo completing his move to Juventus, the big question is whether or not the Spanish giants are capable of holding onto their European crown for a fourth straight year.
